Little Darling Signature Brow Tattooing

Eyebrows play a very big role in an attractive, youthful appearance. When the eyebrows are perfectly shaped and maintained they act as a picture frame for the eyes and give your face a natural lift.

Whilst some of us are blessed with naturally thicker brows some of us find ourselves reaching for an eyebrow pencil or powder as part of our everyday make-up routine.

Even some with naturally thick brows will find themselves filling in their eyebrows to complete their make up look.

When we are young our eyebrows are naturally thicker and darker, then aging can take its toll on our eyebrows, as well as other facial features. With age, eyebrows get thinner, lighter and can make us appear older than we actually are. Eyebrows that are fuller and darker contribute to a youthful appearance.

Eyebrows we recommend 5%-10% numbing, 5% can be purchased from your local chemist (Emla or Numit). If you would like to purchase 10% numbing you will need to book an appointment with your doctor and ask for a script, then purchase at your local chemist. Ensure you have done this before your appointment as you need to apply the numbing 1 hour before your appointment and bring the numbing with you to your appointment.

It is HIGHLY recommended that clients avoid the procedure at the time of your menstrual cycle as this will increase discomfort throughout the procedure and is likely to make you bleed which can cause subpar results.

  • Cosmetic tattooing is designed to fade over time. Although treatments generally last for 6-18 months before you will need a colour refresh, however everyone has different skin types and hold pigment differently.

It is extremely important to have your 4-6 week touch up, cosmetic tattooing is a 2 step procedure and to get the very best results out of your tattoo, you will need a touch up (perfection) appointment.

Machine work will always last longer than microblading.

It is important to understand that fading will occur due to - sun exposure, facial peels/ treatments, exfoliants, age metabolisim and some medications. Aftercare is key to maintaining best results.

Please note that the final results vary and cannot be guaranteed due to the nature of skin as it heals.

  • If you are wanting an old tattoo fixed, colour refresh or touch up you MUST send a photo to Kayla on 0407 466 766 PRIOR to booking an appointment as some old tattoos will require removal before proceeding. Removal will be necessary if previous work is too dark, dense, discoloured or wrong shape.

  • There are a number of individual and lifestyle factors that can affect the longevity of your cosmetic tattoo.

Bleeding during the procedure will reduce the amount of pigment that is absorbed into the skin. That is why it is important to speak with your doctor prior to your appointment if you are on blood thinning medication.

Thyroid medication can affect the outcome of the tattoo. Thyroid medication can also cause pigment to heal to more of a cool tone.

Smoking will cause results to fade faster.

If you are anemic or have iron deficiencies, you will metabolize the pigment faster and your tattoo will fade quicker.

Skin type, everyone has such different skin types and heal differently. There are some cases where cosmetic tattooing just simply wont work due to your skin just not accepting pigment.

Oily skin - microblading is a big no if you have oily skin. Oily skin in general always produces more oil causing it to push out the pigment a lot faster than normal skin, and it can blur the hair strokes.

  • Yes, you must understand that your brows will be dark for the first week, this is normal due to the oxidation in the surface of the skin. Your brows can also feel warmer in colour. It will begin to fade to the nice colour that we chose. During the healing process it can fade up to 50%, however this differs for everyone and different skin types. After the healing phase you will need to book a 4-6 week touch up to correct the colour and fix where pigment hasn’t taken to the skin. Redness and swelling is rare, however it may occur and typically disappears within 48 hours.

  • 4-6 weeks after the initial appointment we will be able to determine how your skin has responded to the pigment and any altercations can be made where necessary. As we have mentioned, each indiviual lifestyle factors will affect how the tattoo will fade, but majority of our clients tattoos stay true to colour over time. It is HIGHLY recommended that you return for a colour refresh every year, as all tattoos lighten in colour so if you wish to maintain the original colour we definitely recommend a yearly colour refresh.

  • Each individuals skin type and lifestyle factors will affect the tattoo in long term. Exposure to the sun will contribute to a faster pigment fade, so ensure that you always apply sunscreen or wear a hat.

If you have chemical peels, laser treatment or other medical procedures to the facial area you should be very cautious of the tattooed area and ask your technician to avoid the tattooed area.
